About stopping hormonal contraceptives

Back to a natural cycle
If we go back ten years, it was a given for many women to use hormonal contraception. Taking the pill or similar hormonal contraceptives from as young as 14 was not uncommon—quite the opposite. The benefits of reliable contraception and fewer unpleasant symptoms clearly outweighed the disadvantages, while the importance of what it actually did to your body and your cycle was rarely, if ever, communicated. Taking the pill was normal. It was part of it.
However, we have observed a significant change in recent years. According to the latest analysis by the Techniker Krankenkasse (technical health insurance company), in 2017, 44% of 14- to 19-year-old girls and women had the pill prescribed by their gynecologist. In 2020, this figure had fallen to just 33%. A clear downward trend for the pill's use is evident.
Participants in an earlier study cited "a critical attitude toward hormonal contraceptives" as the primary reason for their reduced use of the pill. A majority of respondents considered hormonal contraception to have "negative effects on the body and mind."
Thus, more and more women are questioning how "natural" such a permanent, artificial hormone supply is? And what negative consequences long-term use of hormonal contraceptives can have.
With the emerging need to return to a natural cycle and to feel oneself and one's femininity more strongly again.
